Useful Ways On How To Use The Best Self Tanners Uniformly

By Haywood Hunter

The advent of sunless tanners has transformed the beauty industry massively. It is common to find these tanners in vast forms including gels, sprays, mousses, and lotions. With all these forms of tanning products, you need to ensure you choose those that work best for your skin. If you choose best self tanners, you can bronze the skin without causing imperfections or harming it. Sunless tanner lotion appears to be the most preferred of the different forms of tanners.

Sunless tanners are available in various forms such as gels, sprays, and mousse. Among all the tanning products, lotions have a greater acceptance. The probable reason behind the high preference for lotions is perhaps because of their ability to last for longer periods when applied on skin.

Mousses have no moisture in them. They hence work pretty well in oily skins. Their tan also tends to fade unevenly. Care should be taken when using them since they may not go well with dry complexions. In tanning, is not just about the beauty you get, but also how long the glow lasts while not being smelly or producing imperfections like streaks.

One pitfall of using mousses is that people with oily skin are not recommended to use them. This is because they have no moisture in them, and hence may react on oily skins or even dry complexions. Moreover, their tan also tends to fade unevenly. The first thing to do before rushing to apply the tanner lotion is exfoliating the dermis. This is so because the dermis excretes dead cells on its surface, and it requires removing them out.

Alternatively, you may use gloves before applying any tanner. This will help prevent soaking up any color meant for your body. When applying a tanner on joints especially the knees, ankles, and elbows, ensure that you dilute the self-tanner. This is because most of these areas tend to absorb more self tanner than the rest of the skin.

Washing hands will help avoid palms from turning orange. Using gloves or loofahs is also a wise idea. However, this should be done before tanner application. Make it a habit to always dilute the tan before massaging your joints. After the tan, you may now dress. However, remember to leave your skin surface to dry for about 10 minutes before dressing.

Ensure that you only wear light apparels, which will prevent you from sweating. If you sweat before the tan has penetrated the skin, you may cause dripping, something that could lead to streaks and blotching. Applying sunscreen on a daily basis may be useful. The sunscreen applied should be capable of being used for both UVA and UVB protection.

One thing not worth forgetting is that the tanner may need to be diluted with use of a moisturizer. Take a quick shower in case you end up with some orange stains. Alternatively, you may also add a few milk cupfuls to the bath water. Any residue cream on your body should be ousted. This is because the cream can harbor the body from fully absorbing the tanner.
