Womens Upscale Clothing Versus Official Clothing

By Frances Walker

Deciding what to wear for what setting can be quite a task since dressing inappropriately can cost one a lot. In order to create a good impression, one should always know what is and is not allowed for the different events one is bound to attend. There is usually a clear distinction between womens upscale clothing and what should be worn to work.

There are outfits that are already known to be meant for casual settings only. These include jeans or T shirts especially those that are printed. These should not be worn to any official gatherings of any kind unless its a sporting event or has been so stated. Its important to get well dressed at every official occasion.

Examples of outfits that are required in an office include, blouses or tops that are not revealing in any way, paired with a skirt or trousers that are well fitting and also needs to be a proper length, not too high above knee length or overly long for skirts. A scarf and a blazer can help improve the look. If heels are to be worn, be sure to avoid very high heels.

Settings that can overlook these rules stated for work outfits include jobs associated with art related environments and designs that promote creativity. In which case, there are no rules and dressing influenced by fashion trends is allowed. These are completely different and break the norm of having to dress in a particular manner.

One other important thing to note is that excessive make up or accessories such as large earrings is not advised. Clothes that are too tight are unprofessional while baggy clothes do not give a good impression. It therefore goes without saying that clothes need to be properly fitting.

Although, there are also different casual occasions where some rules need to apply. For example, in an office party, although its to get a casual setting. Dressing should not be over revealing in order as to maintain a good impression, one can experiment with accessories such as long earrings and neck pieces. By so doing you will be in the most suitable state of coming up with the right dressing in the long run.

In an official setting, one should be mostly subtle with what they decide to wear and if new to the organization. Someone should first dress officially before learning what others wear to work. It is more common for organizations to expect one to dress officially. By dressing like that you will be in a better state of creating a good perception in the market.

Whether casual or an official gathering, its important to keep neat and always dress according to the occasion. If a certain standard is given, then someone must be careful to adhere to the given standards. Although where none are given, when one is not sure what to wear, smart casual outfit is encouraged. Smart casual is being embraced more and more in offices. Dressing in upscale clothing to an office is as inappropriate as dressing officially to a casual event is.
