How To Decorate With Faux Fur Throw Blanket

By Thomas Cox

Blankets are woven cloth meant to keep a person warm while sleeping or lying down and can also be used in picnic where people sit when it is spread out. Throw blankets are small blankets with decorative colors and patterns used in giving extra warmth and in decorating the outside of bed. They are thicker than bed sheets and gives more warm and comfort comparatively.

They were made traditionally with wool due its natural warmth, breathability and fire retardant properties. Though it is more common now to find faux fur throw blanket which are made from synthetic fibers. This is done to lessen the need of animal fur from farms that usually treats the animals badly which some organizations are against of.

Throw blankets are used to decorate other furniture aside from the bed inside the house particularly chairs because it is smaller. These are useful for those that like warmth and comfort when sitting or ideal for small children which the regular ones may be too big for their use. It fits well also in neat and tidy areas making them more inviting and cozier.

Limit it to a few items when decorating specially when you want to use other faux fur products such as throw pillows and rugs. Having too much of them placed in one space would make the area look too heavy or rustic. Placing less of them would accentuate the room and can give more texture to the sofa or to anywhere you put it.

Research in your area for companies that are selling the greatest quality before buying them then check their quality if they are to your liking. Choose longer hair ones because these ones do not look fake compared to the shorter ones. Tone variation is better when compared with flat colors and creamy hues must be chosen over white ones for more natural look.

Lighter colors could be decorated for a longer period because they suit better with warm weathers compared with darker ones. People that do not want to change decorations every season may find this ideal for their decorative needs. They mix well also with modern colors like pink, navy and the bohemian schemes.

Pair the right materials with it specially those that are opposite to its aesthetics like modern spaces to make them feel cozier. Different materials can be paired well with them such as silks, velvet or heavy wool. This would give a contrasting effect of contemporary design with an inviting effect making the area feel cold less.

Start decorating faux fur in bedrooms because of its coziness and the living room next for it to be used when cuddling up on the sofa. Pets also like curling up on them if you have one. Do not be afraid to add them into formal spaces though so it can warm the area and strategically reflect light.

Place them where people can easily reach them. This would invite people to touch them and come inside the room. This material is washable usually with cold water but some are not washable so check if they could be.
